Will we cartwheel in the future?
What about sharpening pencils or doing laundry?
Will we have families?
Will we know how to have fun and make friends in the future?

In conjunction with the Objectifs Junior Festival 2026, ten child artists (aged 8 to 12) collaborated with Rolypoly Family to discuss what they envision in their adult lives, and the skills they may need for the future.

Their artworks–spanning from watercolour sketches to story books, animation, PowerPoint slides and a dance video–are the outcome of an 11-month creative process of Zoom meetings, excursions and artmaking workshops; facilitated by a team of adult artists (aged 35-55), including Bernice Lee, Faye Lim and Veronyka Lau, who sought to listen deeply to the children’s voices and viewpoints.

As the school year ends, and holidays begin (yay!), come hang out with artists young and old, and, together, imagine futures that are better and kinder, and take steps today to become good ancestors.
